The Journal of Tourism Marketing, Governance, and Sustainability is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical conduct. As a member of the academic community, we take plagiarism very seriously and have implemented measures to prevent and detect it.

Plagiarism is defined as the act of presenting someone else's work, ideas, or words as one's own, without proper citation or credit. This includes, but is not limited to, copying sentences or paragraphs from another source, using someone else's ideas or data without attribution, or submitting work that has been written by someone else.

To ensure the originality and authenticity of all submissions, we use a double-blind review process, where both the authors' and reviewers' identities are concealed. Additionally, all manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using a plagiarism detection tool.

We adhere to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and follow their guidelines on dealing with plagiarism. Any instances of plagiarism will be taken seriously and may result in the rejection of the manuscript, or in severe cases, the retraction of the published article.

Authors are required to sign a declaration stating that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere. They must also provide proper citation and credit to all sources used in their research, in accordance with the CC-BY license.

Our plagiarism policy is as follows:

  • All manuscripts submitted to the journal will be checked for plagiarism using a plagiarism detection tool.
  • Any instances of plagiarism will be reported to the author and may result in the rejection of the manuscript.
  • Authors are required to provide proper citation and credit to all sources used in their research.
  • The journal reserves the right to retract any published article that is found to contain plagiarism.
  • Authors found to have committed plagiarism may be banned from submitting to the journal for a period of time, or permanently.

By submitting a manuscript to the Journal of Tourism Marketing, Governance, and Sustainability, authors acknowledge that they have read and understood our plagiarism policy and agree to abide by it.
