Peer Review Process
The Journal of Tourism Marketing, Governance, and Sustainability adheres to the highest standards of peer review as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and adheres to a rigorous double-blind review process. This process ensures that all manuscripts submitted to the journal are evaluated fairly and impartially, without bias towards the authors' identities, affiliations, or any other potential conflicts of interest.
All manuscripts submitted to the journal will be initially assessed by the Editor-in-Chief to determine their suitability for the journal's scope and standards. Manuscripts that pass this initial assessment will then be sent out for peer review to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The reviewers will assess the manuscript based on its originality, significance, methodology, and overall contribution to the field.
The peer review process is as follows:
- Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
- Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and experience in the relevant field.
- Reviewers are asked to provide a thorough and constructive evaluation of the manuscript, including comments on its strengths and weaknesses.
- Authors are given the opportunity to revise and resubmit their manuscript based on the reviewers' comments.
- The final decision on manuscript acceptance is made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on the recommendations of the reviewers.
The Journal of Tourism Marketing, Governance, and Sustainability is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethics. All manuscripts submitted to the journal must comply with the journal's ethics policy, which is based on the COPE guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that all work is original and properly cited, that all authors have given their consent to be listed as authors, and that all conflicts of interest are declared.
The journal operates under a CC-BY license, which allows authors to retain the copyright to their work while also allowing others to share and adapt the work, provided that the original authors are properly credited.
