The Journal of Public Administration, Policy, and Institutional Practice (JPPIP) applies a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published articles. The review process is conducted in a fair, objective, and timely manner.

  1. Initial Screening
All submitted manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial team to assess their relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with the author guidelines, and overall academic quality. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage.

  2. Plagiarism Check
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are subjected to plagiarism detection using appropriate similarity checking tools. Submissions with unacceptable levels of similarity will be rejected or returned to authors for revision.

  3. Double-Blind Peer Review
JPPIP employs a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

  4. Review Criteria
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, relevance, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, theoretical and practical contribution, and adherence to ethical standards.

  5. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers’ reports, the editor makes one of the following decisions: acceptance, acceptance with minor revisions, major revisions required, or rejection. The editorial decision is communicated to the author along with reviewers’ comments.

  6. Revision and Resubmission
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers’ and editors’ suggestions and submit a revised version within the specified time frame. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.

  7. Final Decision and Publication
After the revised manuscript is approved, the editor makes the final decision for publication. Accepted articles proceed to copyediting, layout, and publication.

JPPIP is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of the review process and to ensuring that all submissions are evaluated solely on academic merit, without discrimination or conflict of interest.
