Peer Review Process
The Journal of Integrated Civic and Citizenship Education is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethics in its publication process. As a member of the Bentala Institute, we adhere to the principles of transparency, accountability, and fairness in all aspects of our operations.
The journal employs a double-blind peer review process, where both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure unbiased and objective evaluations. This process is designed to maintain the integrity of the publication process and to ensure that all manuscripts are evaluated solely on their academic merit.
Our review process involves the following steps:
- Initial screening: The editorial team reviews all submitted manuscripts to ensure they meet the journal's scope and standards.
- Peer review: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
- Revision and resubmission: Based on the reviewers' feedback, authors are given the opportunity to revise and resubmit their manuscripts.
- Final decision: The editorial team makes a final decision on the manuscript's acceptance, rejection, or request for further revisions.
The Journal of Integrated Civic and Citizenship Education is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and adheres to its guidelines and principles. We expect all authors, reviewers, and editors to comply with the highest standards of academic ethics and integrity.
